Think about passive prevention! Trust in my experience –
I have never had malaria or travellers’ diarrhoea!

Electricity current - 240 volts and UK sockets! Remember to bring an adapter
if you live in France, or if your country's sockets are of a different standard.
World electric guide or Country Guide for adapter plugs !

So you want to see animals and beautiful countryside? Below is a list of a large
number of Tanzania's parks and reserves, with comments for each one. Given that the
choice of park is made depending on its location, the season, weather and the region's
characteristics, I did not want to put lots of text that would not be read, but rather
I wanted to meet your needs according to your choices of time and place. I await your
messages giving me your planned or desired arrival date, your holiday dates, number
of people in your party and an idea of your budget. With this information,
I will send you a truly wonderful itinerary.

As for the Safaris - wow! Pricey! However, I've found a good-value formula, depending
on what you want. Read "my advice". In any case, I have contacts for you with
the best quality/price deal!

Personally as photographer, I like Serengeti, but parks like the Manyara Lake
or N'Gorongoro crater, still Ruaha are absolutely have to see

Why are safaris expensive? click here Personally, as a photographer, I love the
Serengeti but parks like Lake Manyara or N'Gorongoro or even Ruaha have
their own characteristics, and interest in them is justified.

This is what I do not like to see in parks!

This is what I do not like to see in parks!
This is a reason why I have createdwww.voyages-aventures-afrique.net
It takes all sorts to make a world! Personally, I do not want to go with these

Tanzania has more than a dozen national parks (not including game
shooting reserves) and hundreds of species of wild animals.

You will not find Selous park, for many reasons - animal hunting area, it is too hot
(even at night), it is too expensive etc. For far less money, it is better to go to
Mikumi, then Ruaha which I find the most peaceful, beautiful and least
expensive of Tanzanian parks. This is obviously a very personal opinion but
sensible all the same :o)

Serengeti
Serengeti Park Tanzania
Serengeti national park: the biggest park in Tanzania (14,750 km˛) provides very
beautiful scenery of plains stretching as far as the eye can see, and very varied wildlife.
Here you can also see the world's largest herd of gnus, and the "great migration".

Arusha National Park
Arusha ParkTanzania
Arusha national park: a small park (137 km˛), near the town of Arusha.
There is a colony of pink flamingos on the shores of the Momella lakes.

Lake Manyara National Park
Manyara Lake ParkTanzania
Lake Manyara national park
: 107 km south of Arusha. A park that includes a large .
lake, part of the Rift Valley. 325 km˛ of enchanting scenery, a place where truly .
no one can remain impervious to! One of my favourites.

The Ngorongoro conservation area
N'Gorongoro Park Tanzania
The protected Ngorongoro region: 180 km west of Arusha. 8 288 km˛. The crater, the
heart of the area, is a fantastic place and is very rare! One of the wonders of nature.
All large mammals can be found here.

Tarangire National Park
Tarangire Park Tanzania

Tarangire national park, 260,000 ha: 115 km south of Arusha, this 2,600 km˛ park
stretches over magnificent African savannah, punctuated with acacias and
baobabs (more than elsewhere).

Kilimanjaro national park
Kilimanjaro Park Tanzania
Kilimanjaro national park, 75,600 ha: with deep wild forests, this park is above all
intended to act as a natural protection ring for Africa's rooftop - Mount
Kilimanjaro, reaching 5,895 m at its peak

Trekking in Kilimanjaro

Here are the trekking routes and slopes in the Kilimanjaro area.

Rubondo Island
Rubondo Island Park Tanzania
Rubondo Island: 45,000 ha. Rubondo Island national park - a 240 km˛
island south-west of Lake Victoria.

Mahale Mountain National Park
Mahale Park Tanzania
Mahale Mountain national park: this mountainous park (more than 1,800 m) covers
an area of 1,613 km˛. With Gombe, it is the second largest chimpanzee
sanctuary in Tanzania.

Mikumi national park
Mikumi Park Tanzania
Mikumi national park: 300 km west of Dar es-Salaam, 3,230 km˛. 5 hours' drive
from Dar. This park is Tanzania's third largest in terms of area but only a small part
of the north is actually accessible, the south being wild and little explored. It is
surrounded by mounts ULUGURU and RUBEHO and has very beautiful scenery
and numerous waterfuls. High concentration of animals.

Ruaha national park
Ruaha Park Tanzania
Ruaha national park: 621 km west of Dar es-Salaam. Difficult to access, Ruaha is
undoubtedly the most wild and beautiful park in the country. Approximately 13,000 km˛.
It is Tanzania's second largest park in terms of size, after Serengeti, and it is one
of Tanzania's least visited parks. Truly exceptional wildlife can be found there
and there is a very large concentration of rare antelope such as Oryx, sable antelope
large Kudu and roan antelope. (One of my favourites.)

Katavi park: 2,250 km2. Very wild park created at residents' request. Altitude 900 metres.

Gombe national park: Gombe Stream: 5,200 ha, 16 km north of Kigoma on the
eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika. Accessible only by boat (journey: 3 hours).
The largest chimpanzee sanctuary in Tanzania.
